Sustainability advisory for the built environment and bio-based materials.

Two decades connecting buildings, nature, and systems change — now extending into bamboo supply chains, regenerative strategy, and circular material pilots.

Organizations that know they need to shift — and want someone who's done the groundwork.

My clients are making real decisions about buildings, materials, sourcing, and strategy. They don't need another 100-page report. They need someone who understands both the systems and the site.

Companies & Brands

Evaluating bio-based alternatives for products, packaging, or built-environment applications.

Architects & Designers

Specifying bamboo and bio-based materials with confidence — aesthetically, structurally, and in compliance.

NGOs & Public Sector

Scoping regenerative pilots, supply chain initiatives, and policy-relevant research.

Practical work at the intersection of materials, nature, and the built environment.

Regenerative & Bio-Based Buildings

Project-based

Designing and scoping buildings that give back more than they take. Advisory on bio-based materials, circular design principles, and net-positive outcomes — grounded in real construction practice.

01

Bamboo & Bio-Based Supply Chains

Ongoing or project-based

Connecting European buyers with verified suppliers of bamboo and bio-based materials. Sourcing strategy, supplier qualification, and compliance — without the overhead of a large consultancy.

Net Zero & Decarbonization Strategy

Multi day sprints or ongoing

Supporting organizations and municipalities in developing and implementing carbon reduction strategies — across buildings, operations, and mobility. Focused advisory, clear plans, real next steps.

Speaking & Education

Guest lectures

Talks and selected teaching engagements for architects, sustainability teams, and material specifiers. Recent: Warsaw University of Technology. Past teaching: AIA NY Center for Architecture, USGBC, CCNY.

--about

I'm Brian — a sustainability strategist with a design-build and project management background, operating across EU and US contexts. I work practically and specifically: sourcing decisions, pilot designs, supply chain architecture, building strategy. Less slide deck, more site visit.e visit.

Alongside client work, I founded the Dutch Bamboo Foundation to help connect Europe's bamboo value chain, and I lead the Regenerative Solutions Initiative — developing new models for financing the people who regenerate ecosystems. These commitments sharpen my thinking, but my advisory practice stays focused on helping clients make decisions and ship projects.

Working notes from the practice.

Short pieces on bamboo, bio-based materials, the built environment, and what I'm learning in the field. Posted irregularly, whenever there's something worth writing down.
